Creative Corner Challenges - Animal Fun

Happy Easter Weekend Everyone! & Welcome to another awesome challenge from Creative Corner Challenges with Team Jess! We have a pretty cool sponsor this month...Stitchy Bear Stamps

So before you scroll any further, I have to admit that I am a little obsessed with Alice in Wonderland. The theme is Animal Fun this week, and I JUMPED at the opportunity to play with this digi stamp!

Who doesn't love the Cheshire Cat? Animal fun....right? OK, so I probably stretched this challenge just a wee bit farther then needed.....but hey, it's still a cat!! ;)

The cat asked, “Where do you want to go?”“I don’t know,” Alice answered.“Then,” said the cat, “it really doesn’t matter, does it?”

“Yes, that's it! Said the Hatter with a sigh, it's always tea time.”
"I'm late, I'm late, I'm late, for a very important date!"
“Mad Matter: "Have I gone mad?"
Alice: "I'm afraid so. You're entirely bonkers. But I'll tell you a secret. All the best people are.”

“I can't go back to yesterday because I was a different person then.”
 I had so much fun making this banner. The supplies I used are from whatever I had kicking around. SO MANY FLOWERS! :D I should mention though, the images of the additional A.I.W characters are from the Disney Classics Cricut Cartridge.

I hope you like this banner and the challenge theme as much as I do! And I can't wait to see your creations! :D

Projects for this week....{and really stinkin' cold temps to boot!}

Good Morning to ya! I really do think Tuesdays should start off the week! Don't ya think? Anywho....temps have been insanely cold for awhile now; I think we have had 2 "nice" days in the last 2 months. Yesterday hit a low of -52* Celsius (with the windchill) Yikes!
Today was back to school for my kiddos with temps at -46; surprisingly the buses still ran. (Yay for this mama! :D)
This month I am back at paper crafting and sewing some wonderful projects.
I have a customer order birthday banner for the end of the month and my nephew's quilt to make for his 2nd birthday! (Still hard to believe he is almost 2!)

I am always thrilled when I get to bring this gal out of storage!!
I am using Close to My Heart cartridge "Art Philosophy" for the
Birthday Banner!

Have I ever mentioned that I LOVE GLITTER?! It is so messy and shiny and I just love it so much! :D

I literally had glitter from face to feet {and ALL over my cloth chairs and floors!} Ok, enough with my glitter obsession!

My older two girls came back from Gran's house on the weekend with all their goodies from Christmas vacation! DD 2 received a donut maker from Mr. Claus this year, so we ended up testing it out on Saturday afternoon! So much fun!

I have tons of Do You Bake? product on hand from a party I had recently, {I'm a big fan of this company!} so I thought why not try out their Yummy Tummy Treats! Chocolate Donuts. EASY PEASY!

My Khy modeling her beautiful
creation!

DONUTS!!! My taste testers jump in for the first bites! These mini donuts were a hit with all the kiddos!

Turned out pretty good I think! Next on my list of kitchen gadgets to try is the cake pop machine! {Another Christmas gift that Khy received!}

Last photo for the day!
My sweet mom-in-law made me a box FULL of beautiful crocheted pieces, including this crochet hat with a brim. I love it! I also got boot cuffs, scarves, headbands, and some slouchie hats! I might add some of her creations in future posts! She is so talented I tell ya! {& maybe I should add 'learn to crochet' to my 30x30 list!}

Beginning of Easter Week!

I finally got my Title to "fit" properly! lol, still learning some blogging tips and tricks!

My family and I just got home from a whirlwind weekend. We left our house at 8 pm on Friday night and arrived at midnite at my in-laws for a short but sweet visit. At 1 o'clock in the morning, my M.I.L gave me an early birthday present! (3 months early!!) I got a Cricut Expression! Wahoo! Goodbye Cricut Create! Thanks Mom!

My children and I went to my nephew's 5th birthday party on Saturday Morning. The kids LOVED the jumpy castle...(odd that I don't have my picks:( Didn't think to bring my camera!) Saturday afternoon I had coffee with my very pregnant friend! Can't wait to meet her little bundle! And then we had a family dinner...TURKEY!! My favorite food group! ;)

This morning the girls went shopping with their granny, and I had a nap! lol! We left PA at 3pm, and we were home by 7:30. *sigh* Cupcakes for R & K's Easter party were whipped together (from a box!!) and iced!
Now, for the rest of the unpacking, cleaning the house, setting up my new toy (in my spare time!) I have 10+ people coming for Easter this coming weekend, so I am going to be prepping for that this week. I'm searching for some neat Easter centerpieces. I will post when I find something I love! Have a great week!

~happy creating!~
