Creative Corner Challenges - CONGRATULATIONS! - No Sponsor

Welcome to another summer edition from Creative Corner Challenges! Half way through July...I hope everyone is having a fabulous summer?!

This week's challenge from Team Jess is a Congratulations theme and we have no sponsor this week!

I did up a baby card for this challenge. It was fun to use a Peas in a Pod die from Sizzix. Here's what I came up with! I hope you will join us and play along!

Creative Corner Challenges - Coffee & Tea Time

Hello! I'm always up for a cuppa jo! How about you?

This week's fabulous challenge from Team Jess over at Creative Corner Challenges is Coffee & Tea Time. No sponsor this week, so anything goes!

I created a 12x12" layout for this challenge. I had one little 3x3" photo that I was dying to use from
camping last summer! Coffee made over the fire! :D I love camping, and not very often does inanimate objects get scrapped. In the words of Shimelle Laine, "scrapbook the everyday!" How cool is that? I  would love to do this more often!

Here is what I came up with!

Fruit Drop Biscuits - Purity Cookbook

Hello there!

I hope the weekend is finding you with good weather as the weeks of summer are winding to an end. I have been in a baking mood lately. It helps that I also picked a 4L pail of crab apples with the kiddos the other day! This recipe here is found in the Purity Cookbook. My mom had an older version of it when I was a kid. The copy I have is the Twelfth printing, 2003.

These biscuits are the Fruit Drop Biscuits found on page 27. #43 (a) is the variation I used. I added chopped crab apples and raisins for my fruit. These turned out nice and fluffy. The "dough" was more batter-like then a normal biscuit so I was quite surprised that they turned out so well! I think for an added bonus next time I will add some cheddar!

Have a blessed week wherever you are!!

What do marshmallows, graham crackers, and chocolate have in common?

S'MORES! I love s'mores! The word itself brings me to my favorite place on earth...the lake. Summer, camping, beach, campfire....yup....I'm dreaming of summer!

I made these cupcakes for tonight's youth group event. They are going sledding. It's funny that they are going sledding but I am thinking of summer...hmmmm S'mores cupcakes & hot chocolate seems good to me:)

Helloo Sweetie!! Doesn't that look so yummy? Ok, so, I wanted to find an awesomely great marshmallow frosting. Not a lot out there. So I grabbed this recipe shared by Latasha M. but added the 7oz marshmallow fluff, PLUS another whole jar (198grams). There are tons of S'mores cupcakes on Pinterest, and I really like the ones that have been "roasted"....*note to self...I want a cooking blow torch!*

Enjoy!
